                                     Casa Grande - Dave White City Park

 
 
Arizona Street Rod Association was invited to participate in a multiple car club picnic at Dave White Park in Casa Grande. 4 clubs; Over the Hill Gang from Phoenix and Tucson, Tucson Street Rodders, and Arizona Street Rod Association enjoyed each other's company, games, and food. It was a grilled hotdog/hamburger/potluck occasion with perfect weather.  Arizona Street Rod Association had approx 20 vehicles attend.
 
 

Saturday Night Cruise-in - Mesa

Here are some photos of  some of the ASRA members enjoying the every Saturday night cruise-in in Mesa -- Hampton near Superstition Springs by K Mart .

Yuma's Midnight at the Oasis 2009

 

A few ASRA members attended the 2009 Midnight at the Oasis car show in Yuma.  The Yuma weather was perfect that weekend.....George Bohlander and friend Jack (photos 1 and 2), Linda Mallett's Spring Bonnet and husband Steve driving their 1923 T in the Yuma parade (photos 3 and 4).  Twelve Show Awards were selected by different organizations of Yuma.  Rick Johnson (photo 5) was privileged to win a Yuma award.  12 Show Awards were selected by different organizations of Yuma. Rick Johnson's 32 Hi-Boy (photo 5) was privileged to win a Yuma award.  Rick's roadster was chosen by a marine to win the "Flyin' Low Award".

Rim Country Cruisers Cruise Night - Payson

Sixteen club cars went to Payson and attended the Rim Country Cruisers Cruise Night at a local shopping center in Payson.   Below is a photo of the group that attended.  George Bolander named it the ASRA Hot Rod Runaway.

Impala Bob's 7th Annual Fall Car Show on October 4th was hosted by Poston Jr. High Panthers.  It was held at Living Word Church in Mesa.  Several ASRA members attended.  Everyone, young and old, had lots of fun.

Back to the 50's - St. Paul, MN - June 2008  - Over 11,000 participants registered for this 3 day car show.  Bob Yahn drove his 29 Ford over 1800 miles (one-way) to attend.  Pictures below include a photo of Bob Yahn relaxing with Al Buehler (friend of Shirley and Bob's from Lincoln, NE) , Bob Yahn's blue 29 Ford and Shirley and Bob's primered 29 Ford Hot Rod.

I-Car ASRA Car Show

Was held at the Fairmont Princess Resort in Scottsdale. Photos submitted by Mel Pratt.

There were a total of 14 member that showed their cars.  I-Car provided a variety of good food, desserts, and beverages.

Members who brought their cars were: Rick and Becky Johnson, Mike Cummings, George Bolander, Frank Mayo, Hank Borowski, Tim Benedict, Gary Boyd, Charlie Wright, Bob Morrow, Dave Eagleberger, Steve Mallett, Charlie Ogden, Bob Yahn, and Mel Pratt.
